Why the Middle?
It’s a fair question. The middle of anything is hardly ever celebrated. When we (society as a whole) think “middle class” or “middle aged”, we think “meh.” But I think Goldilocks was onto something. Not too hot, not too cold; not too hard, not too soft; not too poor, not too rich; not too hungry, not too full. Somewhere in the middle, that’s humanity’s sweet spot.
We chose the middle because:
We’re one of two houses in the middle of a block.
I am a middle child.
When you say “middle” so many times, it starts to sound really cute.
If you’re in the middle of a gardening task, or simply in the middle of a garden, you’re in a good spot (like Ada in this picture)
A garden in the middle of an urban environment becomes a crucial habitat for wildlife.
I am middle aged.
We are middle class.
This garden is not excellent, nor is it derelict. It’s somewhere in the middle.
The middle is underrated. It is where true happiness lies.
We’re excited for you to join us in the middle!
