Welcome to the Middle Garden and Post #1
This is the Middle Garden, at least how it lives in Blog Form. IRL, the Middle Garden is a garden collaboration between one gardener, many plants, and all sorts of critters. I am Ellen, the gardener. These are the plants; not visible in that picture are likely some sort of critter. I also have an occasional assistant, my three year old daughter, Ada. Though she tends to get distracted with finding worms to re-home.
This garden of mine is not reflective of all gardens. For instance, my father-in-law in Mexico may not get much use out of this. His growing conditions are too lovely to trifle with reading about the harsh winters we get. But hey, I figure if I can get all my horticultural education from Gardener’s World - a British production, and another lovely growing region not reflective of my own - then I figure there are enough tidbits of gold here for everyone.
Our journey into the Middle Garden will involved all sorts of garden projects and experiments including making new garden beds, revamping the existing one, sowing seeds, trying out different propagating methods, learning new things, and most importantly, enjoying being among the plants. So let’s get growing together, and welcome!
